I've been using St Neots carpets for over 6 years in multiple houses and iv'e found Paul and his shop staff to be polite, knowledgeable and extremely personable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and the quality of carpets and hard floors that they sell and fit. Having had multiple quotes from other carpet companies i always find myself going back to St Neots carpets for the cost, service and quality.

We went to the St Neots carpet company because they are supposed to be the best!!! so we visited the shop, found the product we wanted and asked for someone to come and look at our lounge and hallway. Paul came out and we explained to him that the wooden flooring we currently have has been very hard wearing and that is the type of product we are looking for (I must say at this point that the product we chose in the shop was 15mm thick and our old flooring was 18mm) Paul said we have chosen one of the top products, he then went off and the shop phoned back a view days later with a price (nothing in writing) so I asked the lady what is included in the price, she first said that is a complete price fitted!!! When I questioned about underlay she said Paul does not fit underlay under with this type of flooring “only paper” I said the flooring is being fitted onto a concrete floor, therefore I want some underlay fitting, she said she would ask Paul and get back to me, after a few days Paul phoned and said the lady in the shop was incorrect and the underlay is included in the price, so we agreed to carry on with the purchase.
A couple of weeks later we had finished painting the walls so my wife decided to go and get the sample again just to confirm the colour will look good against the walls, while she was collecting the sample the lady in the shop said I don’t know why you are buying that product Paul doesn’t like that product as it is not the best product to lay. With this my wife came home confused and upset, so I called Paul and left a message on his phone, he phoned back a few days later and told me the lady in the shop was incorrect and reassured me that there’s nothing wrong with the product.
The day of the fitting; unfortunately I was taking my Mum to the hospital for some tests, so my wife opened the door to the fitting guy Richard, who walks in and said this is a bigger job than I thought, it’s not going to be easy with this product I’m not sure I can do this and what about your stops (the divider between one floor and another) my wife said your supplying them, Richard said I have not been given any and with this type of flooring they don’t supply any that will match. By this time my wife was getting both annoyed and frustrated so called me and asked me to come home as soon as possible.
When I got home Richard was on his phone at the end of our street and nothing had been done in the house, on top of this the 15mm flooring had gone to a very cheap looking 8mm flooring! With all of the above I asked Richard too kindly go away. We are now two weeks later and still no apology from Paul!!!

Great customer service from order placed to standard of workmanship. Carry on, rarely this standard found these days.

We had our lounge, hall, stairs and landing carpeted and lino in the bathroom and downstairs loo. We're very happy with the service, the carpets and the lino. The staff we dealt with were nice, helpful and friendly and Paul was an expert at carpet fitting and professional. My only disappointment was the lino, which had not been sealed around the edges of bathroom suite or walls. I phoned up the receptionist about this, who said she doesn't think Paul seals the lino, but she'd ask him and get back to me, but I never received a reply. This disappointed me because everything else was great, this is why I only gave 4 stars and not 5. Sorry.....

St Neots Carpet Co have fitted carpets or flooring from us on two occasions and we've been extremely impressed with the friendly service and professional finish of the carpet fitter. Ordering and booking in the job both went smoothly, and we only waited a couple of weeks to get the job done.

Excellent 1st class service as usual. Very helpful and informative in the shop. Fitting was also excellent.

Had stairs and landing done. Very good service all round. Staff in the shop were very helpful and patient while we chose our carpet. Were allowed to take samples home to make a final decision. Very good choice of carpets and plenty of advice. Paul the fitter arrived at time and date promised and made a very good job of it. Well done St Neots Carpet Co!
