Safe Soulmates - is a community interest company that brings together neurodivergent and disabled people in Cambridgeshire for socialising, peer-to-peer support, friendship, and sometimes romance.

Everyone deserves a life without loneliness.

To be able to meet like minded people.

To feel supported and safe as they make new friends.

And connect with others without the risk of abuse online.

Safe Soulmates supports adults who live in Cambridgeshire and have additional needs such as autism, a learning disability or find the prospect of dating and meeting new people particularly daunting or overwhelming.

About Safe Soulmates

Founded by Christine and Vicky in 2018, Safe Soulmates was born out of a mutual passion to help people feel less lonely in a safe way. With joint experience in the learning disability sector (in schools, the voluntary sector and as a personal assistant to an adult with additional need) Christine & Vicky embarked on a journey towards helping vulnerable adults safely meet new people.

As a not-for-profit friendship and dating organisation, Safe Soulmates is already supporting a number of members, enabling them to safely enjoy a full and active social life.

How Safe Soulmates can help

Reassurance: Every Soulmate has been met on Zoom or in real life and, due to the application process, the team knows that everyone is who they say they are. Without exception, everyone is a genuinely lovely person, who just wants to find new friends or that special someone.

Full support: whatever you're looking for - whether it be a romantic relationship or to make new friends - Safe Soulmates provides the support members need to help relationships grow, and help them build other friendships.

Social events: many members find they meet other likeminded people at the events so they're an excellent way to start the Safe Soulmates process without the stress and pressure of a one-to-one meeting. From bingo to bowling, film nights to gigs, there's something for everyone!

Parents/Carers meet others too: Safe Soulmates understand that parents and carers also have a unique journey, and can themselves experience loneliness. Why not join in the parent/carer meet ups to share good news stories and meet new people too?!
