Richard and his team built a two storey garage extension for us last year and can honestly say that we cant recommend him enough! From the first email engaging his company to the last email finishing the completed project Richard and his team worked hard, communicated effectively, dealt with any issues arising promptly, answered all questions and concerns with great detail to reassure us and we fully understood processes, set out a timescale and payment deadlines for each stage of the process, offered outside trades recommendations and contacts that were not part of our package and helped to incorporate those into deadlines so not to effective finishing date, mindful of our neighbours and went above and beyond to ensure little disruption. We wouldn’t hesitate to have Richard and his team back to carry out more work. His is completely realiable, trustworthy and great work ethic. Thank you Richard again for all you hard work and completing the final piece of our home.

Last year we underwent a transformation of our downstairs living area and instructed Kasteel to knock through a central load bearing wall to open up the house. After being let down by another persons quote, Richard gave us a swift quote and arranged all the steel required and set to work with very short notice.
The outcome was absolutely amazing and Richard managed the whole project for us, recommending plumbers and informing us when certain things needed doing. I’d have no hesitation recommending them for any building works.

We decided after obtaining planning permission to take the plunge and have a single storey extension which would incorporate a living room and fully kitted out bathroom,we called richard who explained in great detail the process including full costings,work commenced the following week,by week 6 we were watertight and completed at the end of week 8,the service we received by the whole team was outstanding,more or less daily updates what works would be carried out and how they would be doing it,even going to see the neighbours to update them,the work was first class by all the tradesman concerned,we felt totally at ease with the whole development which was a massive commitment financially,the most impressive part for us was the attention to detail,thanks to these guys we have got a fantastic new area to our home and added value at the same time.richard gave us the build cost and that's exactly what we paid,no hidden costs,if your looking for honesty,reliability,first class workmanship these are the guys without question.

Last year Kasteel Construction had the hard task of building an extension for me.
The purpose of the build was to keep a family member at home and not have to go into a home.
I wanted the new build to comply with 2 things. One it had to remain to look like home and not a hospital, and flow with the rest of the house. Secondly had to adhere to specific turning spaces have a reinforced roof for a hoist and a wet room .
I met with Richard and straight away felt at ease. He actually listened and took on board what we wanted .He understood that the build had to be right for us. Richard and his team of builders took on the task of turning my garage into a room. The room had to be insulated so there wouldn’t be a drop in temperature. The extension also involved a garden room with a sky light for all the family to sit in all weathers. I was quoted 3500 for a ramp to the back door but Richard came up with a fantastic idea I hadn’t thought of and lifted the current mono blocks, raised the drive and re laid the bricks. Not only did it look great it was practical too and it saved me money.
I am incredibly happy with my build. Richard and his team were tidy, time Conscientious polite and hard working. It’s not often you can find a genuine builder that cares and takes pride in his work. I would highly recommend anyone contacting Richard for a quotation. If I was unsure about anything I would call Richard and we would either be able to sort it by phone or pop around.
Everyone who has been to my house since ( including builders) have said what an excellent job they had made. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks Richard and your team.

Needed a driveway widened which included rebuilding the pillar and rebuilding the wall as well as laying the concrete down to the house entrance,Richard came out gave me a very reasonable price,the work was carried out,everything cleaned up and did a amazing job.the staff were so friendly and explained step by step what they were doing.highly recommended,will now only use these guys.

'Richard carried out a side return extension and extensive knock through for me on an Edwardian property. The work was completed on time to an excellent standard that I am very happy with. Richard provided me with a competitive quote which explained everything that would be involved. The build was quite a complex job involving a lot of steels, bifold doors, and a brand new kitchen, but Richard and the team made me feel at ease and explained everything to me at every part of the process. Project 1 – large house extension – May- December 2017
Kasteel construction undertook a large two storey side and one storey rear extension for us during 2017. They did a fantastic job. Their quote and scoping was well thought out and clear. Richard was particularly good at being involved from day 1 with the drawings and planning permission, right through to ultimate building control sign off. He was always on hand and approachable for queries or advice both before and after his team were actually on site, and it was never too much trouble to come to site to assist us. He also took care to explain things in laymans terms for those of us who are not experienced in the building trade. He and his team managed the build itself, but he also coordinated windows, doors, garage doors, roofing, drainage changes, building control and many other moving parts for us. While on site he and his team were reliable, professional, approachable, tidy, and very helpful. The build was well organised, and we were always aware of what was going on each day, and in the days to come so everything was completed efficiently due to good planning. The quality of the team’s workmanship was excellent. We would definitely use Richard and his team again.

Richard was involved right through from planning to completion, and was able to fit us into his schedule quickly which was very much appreciated. Kasteel completed a full house renovation for us, which included a double storey extension, kitchen, bathrooms and garden landscaping. We were completely satisfied with the high standards and professionalism they provided. We would highly recommend.
