The SandPit Theatre, based on the campus of Sandringham School in St.Albans, is a multipurpose arts venue in St Albans that provides a cultural hub for the whole community and further districts.
The venue programmes a wide range of events, including educational lectures, touring shows, sports presentations, art demonstrations, amateur dance and performing arts company showcases, and much more! We aim to engage all of our community in the arts and culture by providing an accessible, affordable and welcoming venue. Catering
The SandPit Theatre is equipped with a licensed bottle bar including snacks and confectionary that is staffed for all events. Champagne receptions and further hospitality packages can be arranged on request.
Volunteers
Have an interest in theatre? Looking to give back to your community? Come and join us! We pride ourselves on providing opportunities to individuals from all walks of life, training volunteers in front of house and technical theatre skills. Little Diggers Scheme
We aim to specifically engage families and children aged 3 to 7 with the arts through our ‘Little Diggers’ scheme, a combination of theatre, workshops and film screenings for younger audiences. Look out for our logo on publicity so you don’t miss out!
