Opening hours

Summer (1 April - 31 October)

  • Monday to Friday (except Tuesday) - 9.30am to 5.00pm
  • Tuesday - 9.30am to 6.30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday - 8.30am to 4.00pm

Winter (1 November - 31 March)

  • Monday to Friday (except Tuesday) - 9.30am to 4.00pm
  • Tuesday - 9.30am to 5.30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday - 8.30am to 4.00pm

The site is closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Open as normal all other bank holidays. The site will close at 2:30pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Preparing for your visit

Before visiting please check what items can and cannot be recycled.

You can save time by separating out your recyclables beforehand.

Permits

We operate a permit scheme for commercial type vehicle users accessing the site. Please view ourpermits page to establish if the vehicle you will be using requires a permit to dispose of waste at the site.

Commercial waste

Commercial waste cannot be taken to Bickenhill Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Commercial waste can be taken to sites at Leamington Spa or Rugby.

Asbestos

We offer a facility for residents producing household waste asbestos to dispose of it safely.

This disposal facility is run on behalf of the council by a contractor, residents wishing to use the facility must obtain a permit. Please ring 0121 704 8000 for a permit for Coventry Recycling and Re-use Centre, Bar Road, Coventry, CV3 4AN

This facilitiy is for the use of residents only and cannot accept commercial/trade waste.

Mini Recycling Centres

We provide a network of mini recycling centres throughout the borough. The facilities at each vary dependant upon size, location, and access.

Recycling centres are cleansed 3 times a week and if necessary daily on busy sites.
