Skelmersdale Dynamo Rangers Girls' Under 12's Football Club .........

Skelmersdale Dynamo Rangers was formed in 2005 and have since grown from strength to strength.

Skem Rangers Athletic were formed in 2001 and participated in the Wigan Sunday League at Robin Park.  Due to the different ages of the squad 2 teams were formed for the 2002 season.  In 2003 a new under 7s team was formed by Caroline Stewart, which had younger brothers, cousins of current Rangers players.  Again this also had children of mixed ages so that in 2004 this team was split into two teams.  This carried on ever since and is how the club has grown.

In 2003 Scott Rees Solicitors sponsored Skem Rangers Football Club believing in the family ethos that Andy and Caroline Stewart had developed.

In 2005 the founder Skem Rangers teams and the teams that were developed by Andy and Caroline Amicably parted company as they didn't share the same vision.  It was then that Dynamo Rangers in Skelmersdale was formed.  Scott Rees decided to stay with Dynamo and have supported the club ever since.

In 2002 sisters Pam Ashton and Caroline Stewart were also embarking on the journey with the girl's football.  Two girls teams, a mixture of under 8s and under 9s, was formed and played in the Skem Junior Football League in the under 8s division.

They placed in the Skelmersdale League for 2 seasons before joining the newly formed West Lancashire Girl's League.  These teams had sisters of the current members of the Skem Rangers so it was inevitable that the girls would move over to Dynamo Rangers due to the family connections.

In 2006 the Skelmersdale Dynamo Rangers Football Club formed a committee due to the rapid development of the club.  The committee now consists of managers, coaches and people linked to the teams.

Peter Sweeney joined the Dynamo set up in 2007 - he was not new to girls football and was the founder of Skem Athletic Girls Football Club and manager for four years - events and tournament organiser being second nature to him he is now our fund raising officer.

Girls teams play in the West Lancashire Girl's League and Peter's age group is the under 12's. They also have a boys section and have 12 boys' teams from the age of six and six girls' teams from the age of nine.

Skelmersdale's Dynamo Rangers Girls Under 12's are affiliated to the Lancashire Football Association and are aiming to achieve FA charter standard this year.........Best of Luck to you!!!
