More than 200 people packed into Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery for a “soiree” to celebrate the success of one of Shropshire’s largest law firms.
The Soiree at the Museum event was organised by Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors and took place last week.
Guests were treated to a private viewing of the recently-opened museum, with curators on hand to explain the background to the exhibits.
Canapes and drinks were provided by the Shrewsbury and Art Gallery’s stop. Cafe Bar, and models wearing outfits from town centre shops Carol Grant and Pockets mingled among guests.
David Battisby, managing partner at Lanyon Bowdler, said the event was a great success.
He said: “The evening was a wonderful opportunity for us to thank our current and past clients, as well as meeting potential new ones.
“But most of all it was a chance for people from a huge variety of businesses to get together and enjoy a private viewing of the excellent new museum and art gallery.
“A number of people said it was the first time they had been to the museum since it opened earlier this year, and everyone was extremely impressed.”
Mr Battisby said 2014 had been a busy year for the law firm, which has offices in Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Telford, Ludlow and Hereford.
“We have certainly seen an increase in work from businesses looking to expand or move premises, which is a sure sign that Shropshire is doing well,” he said.
“Our specialists in corporate, commercial property and employment law have all seen demand from businesses rise as the year has progressed.”
