A newly qualified solicitor is looking forward to the challenges of a career in law having secured a post with prominent legal practice Lanyon Bowdler.

Kim Roberts, who completed her training contract with the firm, takes up her new role as assistant solicitor in the criminal department based in Shrewsbury, where she will be supporting head of department, Adrian Roberts.

Kim attended school in Shrewsbury before heading off to Manchester Metropolitan University where she completed an undergraduate degree in Global Studies and Spanish, followed by a postgraduate diploma in Law and a Legal Practice Course.

While studying law, Kim began working for Lanyon Bowdler’s criminal department assisting in the preparation of and attending Crown Court cases. She qualified as a Police Station Representative in November 2012.

Prior to commencing her training contact, Kim worked in the firm’s clinical negligence department while continuing to represent clients at police stations.

Head of department, Adrian Roberts, said: “I am delighted Kim has qualified as a solicitor and I am pleased to welcome her into the team.”
