Everyone's excited about Christmas in Shrewsbury but already people are talking about the New Year and what 2011 may bring... apart from a Royal Wedding of course.
Not long till Christmas now.... 'Tis the season to be merry so I hope everyone's managing to fit in at least a little bit of Shrewsbury shopping. 'Tis also better to give than to receive, although there's more of a debate on that one....

It's not long till Halloween in Shrewsbury. Our fair town has everything you need for this haunting holiday. Then it will soon be Bonfire Night followed by Christmas.... Yes, Christmas.... Time to start saving (again).
Ah, the great British summer. I could've told you it was going to rain as I recently got the barbecue out. Despite last year's summer, when Noah's ark was seen floating around Shrewsbury, I remained positive and dusted off my gas Outback.

Phew, what a scorcher. I'm half Indian and am feeling it. Letting down my race terribly. Why can't it be a balmy 22 degrees or something though? Even getting out of bed in this weather requires monumental effort and a litre of water afterwards.

A cook from Shrewsbury has sizzled his way to success in a competition to find the best curry chef in Shropshire. Abdul Hussen, from Cafe Saffron, in Hill’s Lane, triumphed yesterday in the inaugural Shropshire Council Curry Chef of the Year.

Since moving back to Shrewsbury, I've been back in love my food. Not in a Chocaholic weighing 20-stone kind of way, just appreciating good food and drink. In London, most of my meals were simply to keep me going rather than something to enjoy.
