10,000 small business owners will be asked about the challenges they are facing and their level of optimism in the 2009 Business Pulse survey.

The results will be discussed at the start of this year’s Small Business Week, which covers a series of events to help support the UK’s 4.7 million small firms.

Adam Marshall, director of policy at the British Chamber of Commerce, said

“The Business Pulse will provide vital information on the issues facing small firms during a difficult economic climate.  “It will help us ensure that small businesses, from start-ups right through to 250-person firms, have the support and guidance they need to boost employment and drive the UK recovery.”

Every respondent will be entered into a free draw to win a trip for two to support team GB at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
