A care home in Scarborough is inviting the local community to enjoy a morning of coffee, tea and cakes while raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Care UK’s Cayton View, on Heather Pastures, will host a Macmillan Coffee Morning on Thursday 24th September from 10:30am, in the home’s tearoom.

Members of the community can enjoy a relaxed morning while fundraising, with a selection of homemade treats prepared by the home's head chef, including Macmillan-inspired green cupcakes. Residents and team members will be wearing green throughout the day to show their support for the cancer charity.

Leah Moon, Home Manager at Cayton View, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting our own Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise money for such an important cause.

“ Events like this as they’re a great way to bring people together, create new connections and strengthen links within the local community. We're also excited to welcome guests to our cafe, which is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee, a slice of cake and great company.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone for a morning of fundraising and fun.”
