The campaign for Dignity in Dying is supported by Dame Esther Rantzen. She is one of the best loved and most respected celebrities in the UK.
DiD have taken out a stall at Salisbury Market on the 1st June 2024 and volunteers will explain why we need to legalise assisted dying (with safeguards) for terminally ill, mentally competent adults.
The campaign is for choice at end of life regarding where we die, who is with us, and what treatment we have.
Having recognised the suffering and pain inevitable with the current law we seek a change to protect all people equally.
We should provide choice and peace of mind for those who need help at end of life, and protection against coercion and abuse for those that don't.
Local politicians are being invited including candidates for the upcoming election.
