A report to Rugby Borough Council’s Cabinet will next week show that council housing rents for the coming year will again need to rise. Rent levels rose this year by an average of 6.43 per cent, and the recommended increase for next year is 6.82 per cent.

In November this year, police authorities will be replaced by a directly elected Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC). This means there will be one directly elected Police and Crime Commissioner for the whole of Warwickshire.
