There are 10 main points that you as the customer would think should be fairly standard.

You will find us on page 101 of this list of members

Part of our membership is based on a Code of Conduct which has 10 key points as follows:

1) To provide tranparent pricing on all products and services offered to customers

2) Not to misrepresent any facts relating to the products or services offered.

3) To state clearly the range of products or services available and to identify the leasing companies for which the leasing broker member acts as an agent

4) To behave at all times with integrity and take responsibility for all sub-agents appointed by the leasing broker member

5) To understand and comply with all relevant statutory controls and regulations relating to the products or services provided.

6) To provide advice, as necessary, to ensure customers can make an informed choice of  product or service based on the needs identified

7) To operate from an established commercial place of business that is maintained to a professional standard

8) Not to use any marketing material containing misleading or inaccurate statements. This will require compliance with the codes of standards set by the regulators for the broadcast media (Ofcom and the Broadcast Committee of Advertising Practice (BCAP)), and with the regulations set out in the Consumer Credit (Advertisement) Regulations 2010.

9) To display the BVRLA logo at their premises, on company stationery and on their website, where it is relevant to the business of vehicle leasing broking

10) To resolve customer complaints according to the standards set out in the BVRLA Leasing Broker Code of Conduct
