Easter is a lovely time of year, the weather is (usually) nice and bright, and the family is off for bank holiday. Perfect!

Easter falls late this year, with good friday being on the 18th April. There are several fun activities to join in with around Rochdale. Here are a few:

  • Pace Egg Play - This is held at littleborough coach house on the 18th and starts at 11am. Rochdale's Curtain Theatre company will be doing a unique Ester Play.
  • Easter Egg Hunt - This hunt has been set up around the Littleborough shops and is so much fun. Entry forms for the hunt are available through participating stores on Church Street, Hare Hill Road and Victoria Street. Completed forms are to be posted into the box in the Star Street Studio on Victoria Street befor 3pm on Saturday 19th April. The Easter Egg hunt began on the 11th April and you can get involved any time. Head down to littleborough so your children can have the chance to win an easter egg and a copy of Disney's Frozen on DVD.
  • Craft Fair - this fair is taking place at Hollingworth Lake Visitors Centre, a small but lovely fair to encourage a beautiful walk around Hollingworth Lake, on Saturday 19th April.

There are so many Easter activities taking place in Rochdale, with something to do for all the family. Stay in your local area this Easter Bank Holiday weekend and have tons of fun in Rochdale.

Some ideas to do at home:

  • An Easter Egg hunt in your garden/house/street. Plant lots of creme eggs around the house or garden and give clues to where they are hidden. Lots of fun and excitement.
  • Make some easter crispy cakes. Cornflakes, melted chocolate in bun cases and then add a mini egg for the top. Perfect easter activity with some very happy children.
  • You could also pack some sandwiches, cakes, and some drinks and go for a family walk and picnic. Lovely refreshing afternoon spent with all the family.
