Blackstone Edge, Rochdale

I have two maltese dogs, Sully and Simba, who both love the Rochdale views as much as I do.

A few weeks ago I took Sully up for a walk (where I ended up with a very dirty dog), and took a few pictures. My Dad introduced me to photography when I was younger and we both enjoy going for walks to catch some good photos.

I love Blackstone Edge because of the amazing scenery and it is steeped in history dating back to the Roman time. The Roman Road is still visible and accessible to the public.

Next time, I think I need to remember to wear a good pair of wellies to avoid returning home covered in mud again. Sully was quite happy though running through the puddles in his lovely coat. If, like me, you enjoy walking and taking in the beautiful local scenery, Blackstone Edge is one of many nice places to walk in Rochdale. However, I do suggest wrapping up warm as it is quite exposed on the tops.

I will definitely be going again in the Summer to take more photographs and make the most of the Sun. Its definitely one of my favourite places to be, and for no cost at all.
