Announced at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Property and Construction Annual Dinner Number One Riverside competed with the new Coronation Street set, the air traffic control tower at Manchester airport and the Pavillion at Lancashire County Cricket Ground.

The stunning design of Number One Riverside along with its high sustainablity credentials were just part of the reasons for being chosen.

The building also brings together all the council offices to work alongside each other and the other different bodies who also use the building.

The aim is to facilitate a more streamlined approach to working together and a more collaborative workforce.

As a public user the building is infinitely more usable and pleasant experience than the black box was and I am proud that Rochdale can add to the stunning architechture already present in our great town.
