The Western Front in 1918
  • The National Archives, Bessant Drive, Kew
    TW9 4DU
1918 witnessed the greatest battles fought on the Western Front – battles which dictated the outcome of the First World War.

Yet, they remain poorly understood. Drawing on new evidence from The National Archives, together with German records, Dr Jonathon Boff, Senior Lecturer in Modern History at the University of Birmingham, will re-examine some widely held myths. Suggesting new interpretations of these battles, he will challenge our understanding of the course of the war and the development of modern warfare.
