Join local charity Habitats & Heritage for a unique workshop larning how to draw or trace your very own image and then expose it onto A5 paper using the cyanotype process. All materials will be included.
The session will be accompanied by a short talk about the process and the history of creating technical drawings. This session is being run as part of a project to restore the Bazalgette Mausoleum in Wimbledon which is the resting place of the eminent civil engineer, Sir Joseph Bazalgette.
Programme:
18:30-19:00 Talk about the process,
19:00-20:00 Tracing of drawings onto A5 paper,
20:00-21:00 Printing under UV lamp.
We will be using A5 sized paper for practical reasons to enable the prints to be exposed under the UV lamp in a reasonable time frame. Attendees are encouraged to consider or draw and their chosen design in advance of the workshop so that sufficient time can be allocated to the tracing part of the process. If you have any questions please feel free to email as hello@habitatsandheritage.org.uk
