Fancy a visit to Ham House?

Now you dont even need to leave the comfort of your sitting room or office as the Grade II listed building has been added to Google Street View.

The attraction is among a collection of iconic landmarks in the UK, including 20 National Trust properties, to have been added.

On accessng the online tool users are given a 360 degree ground level tour of the outside of the sites via a specially-created online tour.

Other locations include iconic sites such as Stonehenge in Wiltshire and Lindisfarne Castle in Northumberland.

"Google Street View will enable even more people to take a peek and get a sense of what Ham has to offer, and the timing is perfect too, as this year sees Ham celebrate it's 400th birthday.

"It's fantastic to think that people from around the world, who might never be able to travel to the UK, will be able to enjoy a virtual external visit of this stunning 17th-century 'time capsule'.

Gary Calland, property manager at Ham House
