Thinking of changing your travel arrangements for Egypt?

If you try to cancel your travel to Egypt in light of the current situation you may be surprised.  Interestingly only a limited number of travel insurance policies cover cancellation where the Government advises against travel to the booked destination and even this could be an optional extra. Disinclination to travel is not an insured peril, although your travel agent may offer an alternative destination

However if the Foreign and Commonwealth Office advise against travel then your travel provider should provide a refund or alternative travel arrangements as they are unable to fulfill their contract with you.   You can check the latest Government travel advice at www.fco.gov.uk. You should contact your travel provider to check the latest position.
