Sunday, November 25 marked the first one-off Farmers Market in Teddington. Taking place in Teddington Memorial Hospital car park about 3,000 shoppers visited on the day, sampling a host of festive goodies.

Children enjoyed pony rides and families tucked into tasty treats including toffee apples, Christmas puddings and gingerbread.

Director of London’s Farmers’ Markets Mark Handley said: “It went very well. On the day all the stalls probably sold out within an hour left to go.

“They weren’t expecting such a good response. We got very positive feedback.”

Mr Handley added that customers took part in a survey about what they might like to see at the market in future and ideas would be taken into consideration when the group decide if the market will be a permanent Teddington fixture.
