The Richmond Town Centre Christmas Lights switch on will be at around 7pm on Friday 20th November 2009.
Doing the honours will be panto stars from Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, in the Friary Gardens, Richmond.
Local shoppers can indulge in some late night shopping, to the festive tones of carol singers.
It's a magical time of year, and its not just children who get caught up in the moment.
Christmas isn't so very far away now, and I just love the Charles-Dickens feeling that a Christmas high street gives me - I do hope all the shops will do us proud with some great window displays too.
