No Spaghetti Bologneighs on school menus in Richmond

In the wake of the horse meat food scandal, Richmond Council have moved to reassure parents of children at 31 primary and specials schools in the borough that children's school meals are of the highest quality, cooked on site with all ingredients sourced locally.

Having awarded the school meals contract to ISS Education two years ago, the contract has recently been awarded the Food for Life 'Silver' catering mark, guaranteeing that all meat is from farms which satisfy UK welfare standards.
