Life’s a Beach on Twickenham Riverside

Work has begun this week on Twickenham Riverside ahead of the launch of its brand new permanent beach and a new play Viking Boat.

With hundreds of families having descended annually on the ‘Play Beach’ at Champions Wharf with buckets and spades in-hand for the past two years, it was decided that the beach was to be made permanent as part of the borough’s Parks Improvement Programme to create additional play space in the area.

As a result a permanent beach is to be installed with a new Viking play boat to follow, providing another play area for children and their families.
