Transport throughout London will be under considerable pressure during the Olympic period. With so much going on in the borough there will inevitably be an impact on both local roads and public transport.

How might it affect your business?

Deliveries, collections and servicing

Due to temporary changes to the roads during the local events, many businesses such as shops, pubs, hotels and restaurants will need to consider the implications for deliveries. Go to: www.tfl.gov.uk/2012

An online freight journey planner will be launched this spring to help navigate yourway around the various events, congestion and banned turns. Transport for London

has also produced a practical guide on how to minimise noise from out-of-hours deliveries. Visit www.tfl.gov.uk/2012outofhoursdeliveries

Staff travel

Journeys will be affected across London. To find out more about how roads and public transport will be affected, visit GetAheadoftheGames.com, follow the Twitter feed @GAOTG, or email getaheadofthegames@tfl.gov.uk.

Waste and recycling

Please check with your commercial waste contractor if they will continue service as usual during The Games. Road closures and congestion may mean collection times. will need to be changed, particularly during the period 24 July -1 August.
