7 year old Jonny Maberley, based in Twickenham and a pupil at Orleans Infant School, was born with a form of cerebral palsy which affects all four limbs of his body.

This condition makes life pretty difficult for him, causing his muscles to feel extremely tight all of the time, making physical activities very difficult and tiring, meaning he spends most of his day confined to a wheelchair.

The goal is for Jonny and his family to attend St. Louis Children's Hospital in America where Jonny can benefit from the world's latest technology and neurosurgery expertise - not yet readily resourced and funded in the UK on the NHS. Here Dr Park and his specialist team carry out a pioneering new type of spinal neurosurgery called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) in order to help significantly reduce the muscle 'tightness' and spasticity that children like Jonny with cerebral palsy are affected by.

Jonny needs help raising the very big £50,000 to get him to America. If you could help Jonny on his journey in any way - no matter how big or small - please donate and help make Jonny's dreams a reality.
