The official Richmond Fanzone opens this Friday 7pm 18th September for the Opening Ceremony for the Rugby World Cup.

It is free to attend and open to all staff working in Richmond shops and businesses to pop along once they finish work on Friday.

All the key sponsors of the World Cup will be there including Land Rover, Emirates, DHL and Heineken.

The venue is Old Deer Park 5 minutes walk from Richmond Train Station next door to Richmond Rugby Club and Pools on the Park.

As well as live match screenings on the big screens, you’ll be able to relax to music, get the adrenaline pumping with thrilling rides and have the chance to take part in interactive rugby-themed activities – all for free.

On non-match days, you’ll be entertained by the likes of comedians Frankie Boyle and Jason Manford and see rugby legends Jonah LomuMartin Johnson and Jason Leonard alongside other exciting acts as part of the ticketed Big Hullabaloo concerts.

If you’ve worked up a thirst or hunger, there are plenty of bars and eateries on hand at the park, which is a short walk from Richmond station and 20 minutes’ walk from Twickenham Stadium.

If you want some where a little more intimate to watch the rugby have a look at Last Try Wines Pop Up World Cup venue that is receiving a lot of interest http://lasttrywines.co.uk/content/watch-rugby-us-ricardos-cellar

The doors to the Richmond Fanzone open this Friday from 4pm for families to check out the Victorian Carousel and the 40m Observation Wheel offering incredible views of Richmond.
