Help For Heroes Concert
16th August 2010

Twickenham Stadium will host a fantastic event on September 12th 2010, as major stars from music and comedy come together to put on a concert in celebration of our nation's military heroes.

The show will be televised on BBC1, and some 60,000 fans and troops are expected to attend the event at Twickenham Stadium itself, listed on thebestof Richmond's own Events page.

Proceeds will go to the Help For Heroes charity, which raises funds for wounded servicemen and women and their families.

Acts due to appear in the lineup include Jack Dee, Robbie Williams, Peter Kaye, Bruce Forsyth, James Blunt, Pixie Lott, The Saturdays, Michael McIntyre and Jason Manford.

The idea behind the concert is also to remind service personnel and their families that they are not forgotten, whether still serving on the front-line, based elsewhere, or recuperating from life-changing injuries.

It is also expected that around 150 personnel injured in combat will be attending free of charge.
