It doesn't seem like five minutes ago we were tidying up after Christmas, and now I find I'm buying a batch of Easter Eggs in time for this weekend...

Eggs aside, I also need to look for activities to do during the school holidays - and found quite a lot of events and what's on listed online:

Friday 2nd April

The popular Richmond Easter Sprints will take place, giving a full day's racing for seasonal prizes. A lovely way to spend a day by the river watching other people wear themselves out!


Easter at London Wetland Centre...
Spring is here and it‘s a wonderful time to take the kids on walks amongst golden daffodils and fluffy catkins whilst feeding the birds. Weather permitting see the first chicks hatch of the year. Enjoy a full day of your favourite arts and crafts activities, suitable for children of all ages. The bike trail re-opens for the season. 2nd April 2010 until 18th April 2010

A range of arts and craft activities will be availble, including egg painting. Kids can discover why there are many types of trees, explore the different ways they are used, and get inspired about how we can help trees in the future.

Treehouse Towers...
Treehouse Towers, a brand new tree-themed outdoor play area, will be unveiled especially for Easter. Kids can climb up ladders, brave the wobbly rope bridges, scramble through nets, fly down zip wires and slide down one of the three towers. Treehouse Towers is fun for all the family, and offers educational opportunities for children to learn about and appreciate trees. Suitable for kids aged from 3 – 11.

Kew Easter Puppet Show...
Watch an interactive, colourful and funny puppet display - The Life of a Tree. Using the art of puppetry, kids can learn about the life cycle of a plant, from a seed to a full grown tree. Children can discover why trees are so important to our environment. 02 April- 05 April 2010.
