The Council represents the residents of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

Richmond Council deals with Rubbish and Recycling, Council Tax, Parking, Libraries, Schools, Sports and Leisure, Planning amongst others for the 18 wards in Richmond upon Thames.

The current Leader of the Council is Lord True and the Mayor is Councillor Meena Bond. The main council offices are in Twickenham at the Civic Centre in York Street.
