15th January 2010

Run by volunteers of the Redditch and Bromsgrove branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), the Redditch Winter Ale Festival  will be held at Bridley Moor & Batchley Social Club on January 22 and 23 2010.

Visitors will be sure to find a beer that suits from the 36 real ales featured.

Drinkers will also be able to sample a greater variety of beers by asking for a third of a pint in their glass. Beer aficionados even have the chance to try a beer that has never appeared at a festival before.

For those who don’t enjoy beer, there is a selection of quality cider and perry on offer.

This year's festival emblem is the Royal Enfield motorcycle. Festival goers will be able to see two Royal Enfield motorcycles on display at the festival.

In addition to organising both the Redditch and Bromsgrove ale festivals, the local CAMRA branch also organises regular social trips, including brewery tours. There is even a young members section, for 18-30 year olds.

The festival is open on January 22 from 6-11pm and January 23 from 11am-11pm.

Entry costs £4, which includes a commemorative glass and colour programme.

The Redditch Winter Ale Festival charity will be Support Our Soldiers (SOS).

A full range of other drinks and food, including soft drinks, will also be available.
