I stayed at the hotel for one night. It is conveniently located near to the city. Family room was very cosy and clean. Breakfast was included in the price, which was bonus for the 40 pound which I had paid.

Stayed for 2 nights. Room a bit average - shower had poor”ish” water pressure, room could have been warmer - not helped as the thick window curtain was in front of it. Can’t imagine the room has been updated for 20 years but was ok in terms of cleanliness.
The best aspect was the staff who appeared extremely hard working and conscientious. Had breakfast and evening bar food both days and both were good again staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful as they were in the evening.

I stayed at this hotel for several nights very recently. Hotel is clean and comfortable and in a good location. Parking is very limited, but there is ample parking close by in the bus station multi storey car park.
What really makes this hotel worthy of a special mention are the staff.
Every single member of staff was friendly, helpful and really did go the extra mile to make my stay special.

Stayed here when attending a function in late January '18; there is a small carpark onsite, which seems to fill rather quickly - you must enter your registration into a computer at reception to get free parking.

Reception is on the first floor not the ground floor, there is a lift, but, should you be going out and returning after 10pm, the lift is turned off!!! There is a button to press if, like me, you have mobility issues and cant take the stairs, however, if like me, you get no response you may need to be accompanied by and able bodied guest who can climb the stairs to alert staff to your need to use the lift; hopefully the staff are more polite to you than they were to my friend who tried to bring to the staffs attention my plight - he was treated very rudely, and then told I would have to wait till he was not busy at the bar, as there was only him serving - clearly putting making money above the well being of guests needs. Very disappointing attitude to a situation the hotel itself has created to cause a problem for disabled guests.

This sole issue aside, the hotel is nice and the rooms are comfortable, and all you would expect from a holiday inn. We stayed in room 513 and were perfectly happy with the room and its amenities (except for it being a twin when we had requested a double) and would probably stay here again - but obviously only with an able bodied assistant who can help should I be returning late. Central location is good.

I stayed at the hotel due to business meetings in centre of Preston. Great location, close to everything.

Car park is smallish but there's a big multi storey right across the road above the bus station.

When checking in there was a sign saying that there was forecast for high winds and a bowl of earplugs to try and dampen the noise from weather.

I took a pair and slept like a baby, didn't hear a thing. The bed was really comfy, room was clean and to a high standard.

All the staff were extremely friendly and professional. I ordered room service which was fast and main was delicious.
I had a slight issue with the dessert however after notifying the staff the wee room service man chapped my door to discuss. He was very polite.

Breakfast was good. Lots of choice, although I'd have liked porridge too!

Overall good dtay, just what you expect from Holiday Inn.

We didn’t bring a car so the minuscule car park was not an issue ! Staff all friendly ( although I would prefer them not to answer the phone in the middle of the check in process ) . Dinner was good and fairly priced and room fine and fairly typical for the holiday inn chain ( I would prefer better towels ) . Given the price charged it is worth 5 stars . I do a lot of national travel and would praise the people of Preston for their friendliness !

This hotel has been operating for a long time under different names but has been a Holiday Inn for many years.
Not anything great but is properly run and the staff are pleasant and efficient.
The outlook from the windows at the front of the hotel are of the Brutlalist architecture bus shelter and to be honest, there are few views in and around this Preston hotel worth seeing.
No sign of herds of wildebeest or the hanging gardens of Babylon it what would anyone expect out of a Preston windows?

A few gripes, one of 2 of the lifts was constantly out of order which isn’t great when checking in and out and being forced to use the stairs.

Breakfast very decent with attentive staff in those quarters.
Rooms smallish and not exactly plush, the fridges which they had in each room 10 or so years ago have now been removed and replaced by nothing.
Small point but Interestingly the keycard didn’t need updating once during my weeks stay as seems to be the case in every other hotel I’ve stayed in recently.

The Ritz it isn’t but this hotel has survived for many years based on the staff and the fact they know what they are doing.

Impromptu stay during snow travel chaos - perfect location next to coach station and very handy for town centre. Welcoming staff who checked us in early with our heavy bags. Nice modern room and very cosy.
