Preston train station is to get a much-needed injection of cash to improve the subways that some people have labelled 'threatening'.
Most of the money will come from the Department for Transport - £775,000 - with an additional £10,000 coming from Lancashire County Council.
It's great news for Lancashire business people as it can be a depressing task to wander down in the bowels of the Preston station after dark to gain access to a platform across the tracks.
