It's only two years away now. Preston Guild 2012 will soon be showcasing our wonderful city of Preston to visitors and residents.

The Preston Guild 2012 is likely to be the most high profile Guild celebration for the city, well, ever.

The planning has already begun. Preston Guild is looking for creative projects to join the celebrations.

The Guild is looking for local, regional, national and international artists and producers to submit projects for 2012. All projects must have a partnership with a local artist and community.

The projects should ...

Premiere and take place in Preston, with a major element happening in 2012
Build on local strengths through partnerships with Preston-based artists and/or communities
Reflect the diversity of Preston’s population
Attract new and diverse audiences from Preston, the region and beyond
Support the development of new national and international relationships
Demonstrate a development of the artist’s or organisation’s work
Attract national and international media attention.
Provide leverage through other income such as public or private sector support, or box office takings
If possible, increase participation, employment, skills and capacity, and provide opportunities for volunteering.
