There is a big push now by all the major car manufacturers to get cars to market in the next 3-6 months. With electric vehicles now costing 1/20th of a normal car to run, free road tax and some free parking and other privileges, no wonder they are becoming more popular. I even understand that they have to introduce 'a noise element' to the vehicle as a safety feature, as they are so quiet when running ! The range and speeds are comparable with many fuel driven vehicles.
