Abercastle Harbour is a long, narrow and picturesque bay. The beach is small and sandy. Due to the harbour being sheltered from existing winds, it is the perfect place for both kayakers and boats. However there is a charge for keeping boats there with the money going towards paying for the village’s facilities. There are restrictions for dogs at the harbour. The harbour is located approximately 2 miles north west of Mathry.

Parking

The car park is fairly small with only a half a dozen spaces (15 at the most) available.

Facilities

  • Toilets

The nearest facilities to the harbour can found at Trefin, which has a cafe, a selection of B&B’s and caravan and camping accommodation. However for a wider range of facilities, the best option is to visit St David’s.
