Take me back to Pembrokeshire
Abercastle Harbour
Abercastle, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, SA62
Abercastle Harbour is a long, narrow and picturesque bay. The beach is small and sandy. Due to the harbour being sheltered from existing winds, it is the perfect place for both kayakers and boats. However there is a charge for keeping boats there with the money going towards paying for the village’s facilities. There are restrictions for dogs at the harbour. The harbour is located approximately 2 miles north west of Mathry. See more
Abereiddy Beach
Abereiddy, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, SA62
This beach includes pebbles and extraordinarily dark sand made of pounded grey slate. The same slate also gives an amazing deep blue colour to the water in the ‘Blue Lagoon’ which is a beautiful harbour north of the beach. Abereiddy is a popular place to go coasteering, climb cliffs and jump into the sea. Also a row of ruined cottages can be seen alongside the old quarry. Dogs are allowed on the beach. There is no existing lifeguard service at the beach. In 2013 the beach was awarded with a Green Coast Award and Seaside Award (Rural). See more
Aberfelin Beach
Aberfelin Beach, Trefin, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, SA62 5AU
A small, low-tide sand and shingle beach not far from Trefin. The beach is great for rock pooling although swimming is not really suitable for swimming. It is surrounded by high cliffs the beach is sheltered from prevailing winds and is an ideal sun trap and a great place to bathe during the summer. Caution is really important when the sea is rough due to there being strong currents further out. The beach has its own little island, an imposing stone arch and a cave tunnel to walk through.
