The weekend is almost here once again! There’s lots of brilliant things going on in Oxford again this weekend, so we’ve compiled a list of things to keep you and your family busy. From crafts and family trails to a car boot sale and a cookery demonstration, there’s definitely something here for everyone!
As we enter the festive season, what better way is there to spend your weekend than exploring some of the famous Harry Potter locations, warming yourself by a cracking bonfire and making your very own glorious Christmas Lantern? Punting is a fantastic way to explore the River Thames and view Oxford from a different vantage point. It’s also great for providing entertainment to the locals who, from the sidelines, quietly watch a slightly inebriated visitor attempt it for the first time!
Oxford City has 2 main areas where regular markets are held. Firstly there is the permanent market in the very centre of town - Oxford Covered Market and secondly nearby Gloucester Green hosts 3 days of differently themed markets each week. Additionally there are several localised out-of-town weekly farmers' markets.
