One of the best purpose built new libraries in England!

The New Oswestry Library - opened in 2008 was designed by the library staff to be  a vibrant, multi-use building - housing books, dvd's, information hubs, local artwork  and a much loved children's reading castle.

As well as hosting  a myriad of children's learning groups, homework clubs and readers book clubs, it also functions as a community hub for the area.

It has played host to many events, from acclaimed authors such as Vanessa Diffenbaugh (The Language of Flowers), chidren's author and screenwriter Frank Cottrell Boyce (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Flies again) to the scary visitor - the Dalek!

The library is open six days a week.
