PLACING YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE
Before choosing your tree it is worth considering the space you have indoors. The most popular choice is a 5ft or 6ft tree. Though, if space is limited, a potted tree might be an option.
CARING FOR YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE
The best way to ensure complete satisfaction with your tree is to care for it while it is in your home just as you would with a house plant being brought in to a warm, dry atmosphere.
CARING FOR CUT TREES
Once your tree is home, keep it outside in a cool shaded place, preferably standing in water, until it is required indoors.
Once indoors, mount it in a water holding stand or wedge it in a bucket with pebbles or small stones and place away from direct heat. Keep the container topped up with water every day. You might be surprised how much it needs!
CONTAINER GROWN TREES
These Christmas Trees have been grown for at least a season in their pots. They should be watered and cared for as any house plant. After Christmas they can be planted outside with a very good chance of success or they can be left to grow in their pot. It is much better to re-pot in to a larger pot.
