Cosprop is one of the world’s leading costumiers to film, television and theatre. Our summer blockbuster features wedding dresses made by Cosprop for stars such as Keira Knightley, Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet. These exquisite outfits illustrate the changing fashions of the times - from the flamboyance of the Duchess of Devonshire’s 18th Century gown through to Wallis Simpson’s simple but elegant 1930s style. The fine detail and workmanship of the dresses gives a fascinating insight into the skills needed to create costumes for period dramas. To accompany the exhibition there will be a talk on the History of Wedding Food.
