For many, making sure the Christmas dinner is ready on time can end up being a very stressful time and something even the most experienced home cooks get overwhelmed with.

However those wanting to take the hassle out of getting the Turkey on early and not worry about the mountains of washing up generated by the annual festive feast, can make the most of some affordable glamour at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill.

The new restaurant which is located on Wollaton Street will be opening its doors on 25 December so those wanting to celebrate Christmas Marco style can sit back, relax and make the most of a truly White Christmas.

Opened in September the new restaurant has already become a firm favourite with the city’s foodies and the chance to enjoy Christmas Day with a menu developed by the original enfant terrible himself is one not to be overlooked.

Once there guests will be greeted with a glass of champagne while enjoying a selection of canapés. This will be followed by a delicious five-course meal set in the stylish and intimate surroundings of the new restaurant.

Mark Hands, who oversees the running of the restaurant said: “Christmas is all about celebration and being able to enjoy a fantastic meal with family and friends.

“To be able to enjoy Christmas lunch in a restaurant that is under the expert guidance of one of the country’s most influential chefs is therefore an opportunity not to be missed.”

Once guests have enjoyed their Champagne they will then have the dilemma of choosing what to have for their main lunch!

Starters include a Velouté of pumpkin & crispy shallots; Tian of crab, prawns marie-rose & lamb’s cress; Risotto of jerusalem artichoke, truffle & parmesan or Carpaccio of beef, rocket & parmesan.

For main there is of course Roast turkey with all the trimmings; Fillet of beef wellington, celeriac puree & Madeira jus; Baked halibut viennoise & grain mustard sabayon; Magret of duck, creamed savoy cabbage & black olive jus or Baked chicory tart, beets, goats cheese & walnut dressing

Desserts are just as mouth watering including Christmas pudding & brandy sauce; Dark chocolate mousse, white chocolate ganache & confit orange;

Apple & cinnamon tart tatin & calvados cream or Iced coffee parfait & chocolate tuille

For those with any room left a selection of local cheeses, quince jelly & biscuits is available as well as coffee & mince pie.
