Always very helpful staff. Easy to find books. Will look up and order any requests and notify when available in the shop. My husband finds the CD selection useful. Also impressed how local authors are supported and promoted. Their commitment to the local literary festival excellent.

I bought a beautiful blue strapless dress which I saw in the window and fell in love with! I received very helpful service and didnʼt feel pressured to buy - even though she had taken it out of the window display especially for me! There was a great choice of underwear and swimwear in the shop and a really good choice of things in my size which Iʼm not used to as I am a 32D, so sometimes find choice elsewhere very limited.
I would really recommend a visit - even if you donʼt need anything as you are still sure to see something really pretty to catch your eye and not break your budget.

The food at the Diwan-e-am is really lovely. We have quite a lot of take-away menus in our house and we can never remember which ones are the most recent. However, with the Diwan-e-am, you need not worry about this as they seem to be able to make what you want whether it is on the current menu or not! And they are good at remembering names, which I like! Not that we have a lot of take aways or anything.... The service is good for meals in the restaurant too.

A nice little shop with a brilliant selection of fabrics and threads. My granny does alot of tapestry kits from here and they always prove successful. And when my little brother needed a lion outfit for his school play the sewing box had lots of fabrics to pick from. A good shop.
