FREE HELP FOR FLINTSHIRE HOME BUYERS

FINDING and financing a move to a new home in Flintshire could be easier than anticipated with Help to Buy Wales and Elan Homes.

Available on new build homes in Wales priced up to £300,000, Help to Buy can be a real boost to buyers’ borrowing power. But Elan has found that some buyers aren’t aware of the scheme or that they are eligible for assistance.

The company is offering free expert advice for would-be homeowners at Help to Buy events at Argoed Gardens, Argoed (November 17-18) and Kinnerton Meadows, Higher Kinnerton (November 24-25).

Help to Buy agents and independent financial advisors will be on hand to assess customers’ finances and guide them through the Government-backed scheme

Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “Help to Buy Wales has been available since 2014 but there’s still some confusion surrounding the scheme. In some cases people don’t know anything about it or how it could impact on their borrowing power; while others are unsure about the level of deposit they will need or when they would have to start repaying the equity loan. We want to clear up some of the uncertainty and equip Flintshire buyers with the knowledge they need to set them on their home buying journey. During our Help to Buy weekends our sales executives at Argoed Gardens and Kinnerton Meadows will be joined by Help to Buy agents and independent financial advisors. Between them they should be able to answer any queries buyers may have.”

Located on Main Road, Argoed, homes at Argoed Gardens benefit from easy access to Mold, Wrexham, Chester and the surrounding Welsh countryside, with properties enjoying views towards Moel Famau.

For those who want a more rural outlook, Kinnerton Meadows, Kinnerton Lane, Higher Kinnerton, offers village living at its best.

Between the two locations, Elan offers a good choice of three and four-bedroom homes, with prices from £199,995.

Help to Buy Wales, gives customers the chance to secure a new home with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is covered by an equity loan, which is interest free for five year.
