Seven Stories is the first museum in the UK wholly dedicated to the art of British children's books. Exhibitions, Activities and Events which all explore a fascinating collection of British children's books.

Their changing program of exhibitions is designed to spark the imaginations of children and adults, and inspire exciting new work.

Recognised as a national home for children's, literature, Seven Stories brings together original manuscripts and illustrations from some of the nations best loved children's books, to involve visitors in a unique exploration of creativity, literature and art.

They offer a number of exciting activities throughout the year, including dressing-up and dramatic fun, creative writing and wordplay, illustration and craft activities. Our specially trained CAST members lead daily storytelling sessions, plus under fives and their families can enjoy Storyparty and Bookworm Babies during term time.

The exclusive author and illustrator events are an opportunity for you to meet an author or illustrator, explore how they work to create their books and listen as they talk you through their inspiration, ideas and favourite stories.

They also have one of the largest independent, specialist children's bookshops in Britain, with over 50,000 titles and knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff.

There is even a children's book themed café serving delicious home-cooked food.
