Hi,
My name is Nigel Dudley and I run the Best of Neath. This is my first posting on the Blog so I am going to give you a little bit of information about me.
I have lived in the Neath/Pontardawe area for 5 years becoming more and more involved with the local community. I have been married for almost 20 years and have two children one of which is doing his GCSE's at present and another who is just about to start her GCSE's courses after the May Bank Holiday half term break. A stressful time for them I know but hopefully all the hard work put in will be good for them in the future.
I was a PE/IT Teacher for many years working abroad for 14 years in various places including the Middle East (twice) and the best experience of all was working in Amsterdam for 3 years. We loved Amsterdam and if you want to know where to go just email me and I can tell one or two really good places to go depending on what type of culture and experiences you want from flowers, to museums to great places to eat and finally an evening's entertainment!
I currently run The Best of Neath which is great. I meet fantastic local businesses who do wonderful things and have great businesses that we should all be using. I believe in supporting the local community and hence that is why I became the owner of the best of Neath. I have built up great relationships with a lot of the local Neath businesses. So if you want a great butcher to buy some meat this weekend for a BBQ, need to find a good plumber then I can recommend great people in the local area who provide a fantastic service and great products.
