October at Milton Keynes Theatre

Well where do I begin.....? There is so much content in October I don't know where to start. We'll start with the 1st shall we.........

The first week has an array of different types of show to reach multiple different audiences.

  • On Tuesday 1st you have 'Ha Ha Holmes', an incredible funny Sherlock Holmes spoof starring Joe Pasquale. 
  • On the 2nd it's 'Beyond the Barricade', a cast recreating songs from hit musicals from all genres. 
  • On the 3rd 'Ready Steady Cook Live' take to the stage with Russell Grant presenting Lesley Waters and special guest television chef to do battle, will the green peppers or red tomatoes triumph? 
  • On the 4th 'The Glenn Miller Orchestra' will be performing. Through arrangement with Glenn Miller Productions in New York, band-leader Ray McVay has put together an orchestra the maestro would be proud of. 
  • On the 5th the essence of the 60's is brought back to life on stage with hit show 'The Bootleg Sixties'. 
  • And on the 6th it's the stylish comedy by award winning playwright, Sir Peter Shaffer, 'The Private Ear and The Private Eye'. 

 

Dotted throughout the rest of the month there are other hit shows and acts including:

  • 'Le Corsaire' on the 17th. This is an amazing Ballet act telling the story of Romance, Betrayal, Murder and even a Shipwreck. 
  • 'Eat, Pray, Laugh' is a farewell tour saying goodbye to comic genius Barry Humphries and his alter egos such as Dame Edna Everidge, that's on the 23rd. 
  • Likable happy chappy stand-up comedian Jason Manford visits on the 27th. 
  • And the last show of the month is 'People', the acclaimed new comedy by lan Bennett.

If you didn't know, Milton Keynes Theatre also hold many creative learning classes. There are loads in October for both adults and youngsters. Classes such as 'Everyone Can Sing', Ballet workshops, Make-up and Wardrobe workshops and many more to give you the opportunity to get behind the scenes and train with and learn from some of the best at what they do.
