As at lunchtime on Monday the 5th December, there appears to be no sign of activity at the junction of the A371 and Cheddar Road in Axbridge. Whilst the roadworks advisory signs state work will begin today, at the time of writing, the only activity seems to be taking place in the service compound at the base of Fry's Hill.
The Bristol Water website has no update so we must assume work is still imminent.
