What a brilliant event to have finishing in Melton. Ciaran Power won the race which took place on Sunday afternoon. Jan Bos was second. Malcolm Elliott, who won the race last year, was in third place.
Thousands of people turned out to watch the race, which was 100 miles long. It started in the Market Place at Oakham, then went around Rutland Water twice and through the villages before finishing in Melton Mowbray. The finish line was in Sherrard Street, with the riders racing in down Burton Street, which was closed to traffic.
